This is a very useful nonprofit helping those in India. It fills a clear need.
I has a cousin visiting Boston (from Dallas on business) stay over my place this past Thursday night. His father and my father were first-cousins who grew up in the same (joint family) home in Jaipur.
His father died an untimely death because of the lack of a timely second opinion from the U.S.
His father had a blood cancer which my father (an oncologist) was an expert on. My father advised the medical team early on in the treatment. Chemo was started, as per protocol, but then the local doctors missed a resulting fungemia (fungi in the blood, from a weakened immune system). Unfortunately, it wasn’t caught in time and my uncle died of sepsis.
My father wishes he had been more involved in the process.
