Many of TISO’s volunteers specialize in cancer, hematology, surgical oncology, women’s cancers and other serious illnesses. We help patients understand their condition, treatment plan and follow up needs with clarity and compassion.

What this service includes:
• Support for cancers of the blood, lymph nodes, stomach, esophagus, breast and more
• Guidance for major medical and surgical conditions
• Explanations of staging, treatment plans and long term expectations
• Help understanding why certain tests or procedures are recommended
• Assistance preparing for second opinions or specialist visits
